The green anaconda's home is tropical South America. This predator typically spends most of it's time in the water. The Anaconda is named after the dark green scales that cover it's body. This predator is the master of the sneak attack because it lies low in the water and waits patiently for its prey to get closer. Other times it quietly makes its way over to the unsuspecting animal. This animal attacks by moving lightning fast and coiling around it's prey. The anaconda can eat animals that are much bigger than itself because it can unhinge it's jaw to swallow the animal whole. Anacondas can also slow down their digestion so it can survive long periods of time without food. On some cases, an anaconda can eat only 1 or 2 times a year.
